POLICE have banned youngsters from gathering at night in two areas of Knowsley.
The latest “designated area” will be set up in Southdene, Kirkby, and Longview, Huyton, on Monday, June 8, and will run until Monday, December 7, between 4pm and 2am every day.
Designated areas allow police under the Anti-Social Behaviour Act to move youths on from the area and arrest those who return within 24 hours.
In Kirkby, the zone includes Cherryfield Drive, on the edge of the town centre, through to County Road.
The ban covers all public land.
