ST HELENS youngster Matty Ashurst has signed a new three-year contract with the engage Super League leaders.
The 19-year-old back-rower, a graduate of the Saints Academy who has made 11 first-team appearances this season, is now committed to the club until the end of 2012.
Chief executive Tony Colquitt said: “Matty is a hard-working and committed player at the club and has seized his opportunity with both hands.”
FORMER Widnes and Scotland international Mick Nanyn has signed to Leigh Centurions on loan from Harlequins.
The 27-year-old much-travelled goal-kicking centre has played for Swinton, Rochdale, Whitehaven, and Oldham before joining the London club in the winter but has yet to make a first Super League appearance.
