TELEVISION gardening guru Christine Walkden gave her top tips to green-fingered youngsters.
Pupils at East Prescot Road Nursery were visited by the BBC’s One Show star at a special eco-event.
The presenter was there to give gardening advice to the four-year-olds and their families.
Cllr Berni Turner, Liverpool city council’s environment officer, said: “Looking after a garden or growing fruit and vegetables is a wonderful way to spend time together and is really satisfying when you can see the results of all the hard work you’ve invested.”
The event was held at the Knotty Ash nursery as part of Liverpool’s Year of the Environment, and National Family Week.
