A BOY saved his baby brother from choking thanks to his obsession with medical television show Casualty.
Cavan Day, seven, jumped into action when he saw his two-year-old brother, Ethan, push a bouncy ball into his mouth, jamming it in his teeth and blocking his airway.
Quick-thinking Cavan slapped his brother on the back and took the ball, which is about 1.5 inches in diameter, out of his mouth.
Cavan’s love of BBC show Casualty began after his father Derek, 49, a Defence Fire Fighter at Basil Hill Barracks, in Corsham, and a former First Responder, brought a medical bag home.
Cavan wants to be a paramedic and plans to join St John Ambulance when he is a little older.
He said: “I just remembered what to do when I saw Ethan with the ball in his mouth.”
