Liverpool Marie Curie hospice announced as Liverpool International Tennis Tournament’s official charity
A LIVERPOOL hospice has been named as the official charity for the city’s annual international tennis tournament.
Marie Curie Cancer Care’s centre, in Woolton, will receive a percentage of corporate ticket sales to the annual Wimbledon warm-up, the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament.
Organiser Northern Vision yesterday gathered with nurses from the hospice to make the announcement in the run-up to the competition, which runs from June 17 to 21 at Calderstones Park.
Marie Curie chief executive Tom Hughes-Hallett said: “I am delighted Northern Vision has chosen Marie Curie Cancer Care as the official charity for this year’s tournament.”
