THOUSANDS of fans will be cheering on Everton on from their home ground today.
Close to 2,500 supporters are expected at Goodison Park this afternoon to watch a live screening of the FA Cup final.
As 25,000 fans pile into Wembley, hundreds more will pack out Liverpool’s pubs, many of which are specially decked out in blue. for the occasion.
Even Liverpool FC defender Jamie Carragher is showing his support, renaming his restaurant Cafe Sports Everton this week in honour of the game.
Co-owner Paul Flanagan said: "It is great opportunity to show support for the blue side of our cityand we hope all of Liverpool will join us."
As far away as Kent, pubs are gearing up for a blue invasion.
The General Wolfe pub, in Westerham, where Winston Churchill planned the Battle of Britain, is becoming an Everton-only zone for the day. Owner Ian Jones and his Wavertree-born wife Maria are long-standing fans and will serve burgers and toffees.
He said: "When that first Everton goal goes in, they will hear us in Wembley."
