Ian Griffin and Kinga Legg 300
A CHESHIRE businessman was being hunted by police last night in connection with the murder of his millionairess girlfriend.
Tycoon Ian Griffin, 39, is wanted for questioning over the death of Kinga Legg.
Her naked and battered body was found in a top Paris hotel.
Maids at the Hotel Le Bristol discovered the body of Polish-born Miss Legg, 36, in the bath tub of the £1,000-a-night room on Tuesday.
The 5* hotel off the Champs Elysees is a favourite with French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
Mr Griffin was seen driving away from the hotel in his black Porsche 911 earlier that day.
Police have since found the suspect’s car in Warrington – close to where Mr Griffin grew up.
Cheshire Police have also interviewed a number of people “associated” with the businessman to help trace his whereabouts.
Witnesses said they saw Mr Griffin on Wednesday at Shepperton Marina in Surrey where the couple keep a high- powered “Cigarette” speed boat.
Marina administrator Billy Leisengang said: “It was between midday and 2pm when one of my colleagues said, look there’s Ian.
“I looked up and he was getting into a taxi which then drove away.
“Later, when I heard about what happened in Paris, it was a great shock.
“I had met Ian a few times and Kinga once. They were very decent people, the sort of people we like to have here at the Marina.”
The discovery of the car has raised fears Griffin, a former male model said to have a string of failed businesses behind him, may have harmed himself.
Police last night urged him to come forward.
