Sean Long
While at Saints, Long's international career has flourished and in 2006 was picked for Great Britain in the Tri-Nations, playing in the victory over Australia, GB's first win in sydney for 18 years - Long would put in a man-of-the-match performance.
In 2000, Long was presented with Super League's Man of Steel award and rightly was voted into the team of the season, a feat he repeated in 2006.
This season Long registered his 1,000th goal for the Saints and now sits second in Saints' all time scoring charts behind Kel Coslett, though Long did surpass Coslett's record for the number of points scored against Wigan.
In 2006, the Saints hero etched his name into rugby league folklore when he became the only man to have won the Lance Todd Trophy three times following a man-of-the-match performance in the Challenge Cup final against Huddersfield Giants - Long picked up the two previous accoldaes in 2001 versus Bradford Bulls and 2004 in the final with Wigan Warriors.
This season, Long has made 14 appearances for the Saints, bringing his career appearances for the Knowsley Road club to over 300 and has amassed 96 points.
