Mr Biddle said: "When the computer expert looked at what the user of computer had been doing he noticed there were a number of sites called things such as ‘Lolita, Illegal 15-year-old’ and ‘Bambino collection - real child porn’.
“The Crown says this establishes that the user of the computer was knowingly going into child porn sites and downloading the material."
Mr Biddle told the court it was accepted that the images were on Darley's computer and that they were indecent.
But he said in interview Darley insisted he hadn't accessed child pornography and said other people, who had used his computer, may have downloaded the images.
Mr Biddle told the jury: “The images of these children are indecent images and shouldn’t be possessed by a member of the public.
“The question is whether the defendant knowingly had the material on his computer.”
Darley, now of Wallings Lane, Silverdale, Carnforth, denies 22 charges of making and possessing child pornography between November 2004 and April 14, 2007.
