Welcome to It’s Our World, writes Jade Wright, a major new drive to make our region a better place to live in – for us, our families and for future generations.

Everybody wants to do their bit for the environment - but sometimes we need help, advice and encouragement to do it. And that’s what It’s Our World will do.

With a dedicated section in the Daily Post every week and a companion website (www.dailypost.co.uk/ itsourworld), it will bring you regular stories and features keeping you up to date on the very latest environmental issues.

And on June 30 we will be bringing you the first of our superb 16-page special It’s Our World supplements. After that we will be bringing you fresh It’s Our World supplements every three months free in the Daily Post.

This will be packed with environmental news, tips on how you can make a difference, and details of the initiatives our partners are involved in to help the cause. It will be aimed at individuals, families and businesses.

At the same time you will be able to contact us to let you know what you are doing for the environment. Because every little bit helps.
