KITE fliers from across the world will descend on Wirral this weekend.
The seventh annual Kites Over the Mersey Wirral International Kite Festival is being held at The Dips in New Brighton. The festival will see the return of Robert Brassington, from Tasmania, who was so impressed with last year’s festival that he is once again bringing his multi-cell kites and wind turbines. Visiting for the first time are Juergen and Gaby Ebbinghaus, from Germany.
Juergen is famous for his flying fish, frogs and other inflatable kites, while Gaby is renowned for her colourful “wind gardens”.
For children there is the ever popular “Teddy Drop” plus a fairground, kite workshop, and the design-a-kite competition.
Admission is free.
