Celebrities turn on the style for charity
SOUL legends flew from America to Liverpool to join film producer David Gest for a fundraiser in aid of two children’s charities.
The I’m A Celebrity star hosted his first Let’s Hear It For The Kids ball at the Adelphi Hotel on Friday to support Liverpool Unites and the Variety Club North West.
More than 300 guests were welcomed by the star, former Busted singer Matt Willis and Coronation Street’s Jimmi Harkishin.
With a £50 price tag per ticket, partygoers enjoyed a three course meal, a live auction and entertainment from singer Russell Thompkins Jr and The New Stylistics.
The group performed classics including You Make Me Feel Brand New and You Are Everything.
Soul fans were also treated to Deniece Williams singing her 1984 US number one hit Let’s Hear it For The Boy and That’s What Friends Are For.
