A BUS mounted a city centre kerb and smashed into a lamp-post yesterday.
The C3 service was headed for Liverpool Women’s Hospital. But it careered into the lamp-post on London Road at around midday, sending it crashing into the pavement.
Merseyside Police and bus company Arriva say they are trying to find out what happened.
A spokeswoman for Arriva initially said it was likely the driver would be taken off the road while the investigation was ongoing, but she refused to confirm if he had been suspended.
