Revenge theory for Croxteth pub shooting

It is thought they tried to pull him from the car before he was shot in the stomach with a shotgun at point blank range as he sat in the passenger seat. Anyone with information about the shooting should call police on 0800 458 1218 or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555111.

Yesterday, a 14-year-old boy appeared in court in connection with the shooting.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Liverpool Youth Court charged with attempted kidnapping and conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was remanded into local authority secure accommodation until a hearing on Monday.

Two other teens were arrested in connection with the shooting. One was released without charge and the second on police bail.
