AN ALL-PARTY delegation from Northern Ireland is in Liverpool to learn lessons from the city’s year as Capital of Culture.
The Cultural Committee of the Northern Ireland assembly is spending two days in the city looking at how it has used culture to drive regeneration.
They were welcomed to Liverpool by Lord Mayor Mike Storey, who spearheaded the city’s Capital of Culture bid.
During their visit, the nine-strong delegation will tour cultural sights such as St George’s Hall, the Bluecoat and the International Slavery museum.
Council leader Cllr Warren Bradley said: “The lessons from the year tell us that you can use culture to make huge improvements for both the city’s residents and the economy.”
