Liverpool’s best young architects show off their work at Liverpool university
SOME of Liverpool’s best young architecture talents are showing off their work this week at the University of Liverpool.
Final-year students are exhibiting in the annual degree show on Friday and Saturday only at the school of architecture at the city centre Leverhulme Building, in Abercromby Square.
Student and organiser Rachel Hearn said: “This is a particularly key year for us.
“It is the first year a catalogue has been produced by the students with an accompanying website, and, in the current economic situation, we are really giving it everything we have got to try and get that important first step on the job ladder.
“Liverpool’s architecture is what attracted many of us to the city, with the most listed buildings outside London and all the work done for Capital of Culture – this has been an amazing place to live and learn.”
Liverpool School of Architecture was this year ranked as one of the top three in the UK and has an enviably rich history and heritage, having the UK’s longest-running architecture course.
