Shots fired at home of father of Crosby businessman Terry Riley as gangster vendetta escalates

SHOTS were fired at the home of the father of a businessman at the centre of a vendetta by local gangsters.

It is believed Terence Riley, in his 60s, was either out or in bed at the time his home in Four Acre Drive, Litherland, was blasted in a drive-by in the early hours of yesterday.

The damage, which saw at least four holes put in his downstairs front window, was not reported to police until 8am yesterday.

It is thought the shots were fired six hours earlier, at around 2am.

Mr Riley’s son Terry, 40, has seen his home and several businesses shot at and firebombed since the turn of the year.

It is understood Mr Riley has now moved his wife and children out of the country as the attacks escalate.
