A HUYTON man who stored a tool box loaded with lethal weapons and ammunition has been jailed for six years.
Police raided Peter Ralphs’s Parbrook Road home after receiving intelligence he was minding firearms.
When they searched the property on November 27 last year, they discovered a tool box filled with an array of firearms underneath the stair cupboard.
A Scorpion fully and semi-automatic machine gun was found with a full cartridge of bullets and its selector switch set to full capacity.
A second machine pistol was also discovered with a matching silencer.
In several carrier bags within the box was an arsenal of ammunition, including 73 expanding bullets and a total of 138 other bullets. John Gibson, defending, said Ralphs had been “manipulated” .
