AN ASTHMA sufferer who collapsed in the middle of giving evidence to Liverpool Employment Tribunal returned to the stand yesterday.
Lynne Francis, 59, a criminal caseworker at the Home Office based in The Plaza, Old Hall Street, Liverpool, has accused her employers of disability discrimination.
Mrs Francis, from Old Swan, claimed on Monday that the stress of being asked to take on “far too many” cases brought on stress which sparked massive asthma attacks.
Staff at the Criminal Casework Department, which works to deport or extend custody for foreign convicts imprisoned in this country, were suddenly asked to take on 30 cases at a time, the tribunal heard.
Mrs Francis yesterday said she could not face working in the department ever again.
