WARRINGTON SOUTH MP Helen Southworth typically got £1,100 to cover her mortgage interest each month in 2007. In March that year she bought two air purifiers and claimed for half the bill getting £338.54. In September 2004 she bought another air filter for £100 and spent a further £359 on an air conditioning mobile unit in July 2005. In 2006 she bought a Sony TV for £709.85. A feature of her expenses are regular requests for small household items costing between £100 and £200. WIRRAL SOUTH MP Ben Chapman, who is standing down at the next election, reclaimed up to £600 a month on the interest payments on the full value of a mortgage despite paying off £295,000 of the loan. He made £15,000 over a period of 10 months. He also put in £120 claims for a gardening every month during 2007. Mr Chapman also charged £56.80 for a toilet seat and £19.80 for a toilet roll holder and £1,943 on Old Tuscan tiles as part of a £8,070,98 bill for building a shower room in his house. He also picked up £1,120 for architectural services in March 2007. In March 2006 he charged £78 for lampshades and £200 for a rug. In January the same year he was given £1,229 for a Smeg fridge freezer a radio for £149 and £45 for a lace bedset. He was also given £5.50 for an ice cream scoop, £9 for a three pack of a tea towels and £3.48 for pedal bin liners in August 2005. Full details of his claims are here.
KNOWSLEY SOUTH MP Eddie O'Hara, who retires at the next election, spend £20, 711, on staying away from his main residence, and £14,075 on running his office. His staffing costs were £84,471. Among his other claims was £350 for a perimeter board advert rental and supply costing £350, a TV remote control costing £9.99 a receipt for plumbing services totalling £3,539 from Jays Bathrooms & Kitchen. WIRRAL WEST MP Stephen Hesford claimed £6.99 for staff loo rolls, plus £7,000 for office repairs. In 2007-08 he also charged £6,958 for stamps. Payments for his second home averaged £1,720 a month, including £960 on mortgage interest and £400 on food. He put in just three additional allowance claims in 2007 and was given £11,060 to cover interest on his mortgage payments. In 2005 he twice got £7.99 for toilet roll and then asked for another £6.99 in January 2006 to buy some more. In August 2005 he was billed £5,559.63 to revamp his bathroom and charged the taxpayer £3,500 for the upgrade. Between November 2004 and March 2005 he claimed for a carpet, a chair and a television each time getting £245 bringing his total claim for this period to exactly £10,000. ELLESMERE PORT & NESTON MP Andrew Miller claimed £2,580 for printing and distributing his Parliamentary report which goes to party members and constituents. His second home allowance was on average £994 including £784 for mortgage interest and £130 on food. His claims details can be found here.

WARRINGTON NORTH MP Helen Jones has simply asked for her £1,341 mortgage payments and £131 council tax bills to be covered. There are occasional requests for washing machine and bioler repairs but little else. Her monthly food bills come in at exactly £400. She also put in requests that were accepted for glasses, crockery and blinds after moving to a new property in Spetember 2004. For more details click here.
FRANK Field, MP for Birkenhead, who has long published his own expenses online, claimed between £200 for cleaning each month and £100 a month for housekeeping in 2008. He also gets £200 for window "cleaning and gardening etc". His mortgage interest requests are annual rather than montly and came in at £2,307.72 for April 2005 to March 2006. In January he got £84.05 for a pillow. A letter included in yesterday's disclosures criticises Mr Field for claiming £200 for "misc expenses" and £300 simply for housekeeping without providing any other details. DAVID Watts, MP for St Helens North, claims £338 each month on mortgage payments or rent, £109 on maintenance or service cost and £88 on council tax. The taxpayer also paid out £15 a month for Sky in 2006. His receipts also include a £519 bill for a 26in TV and £149.99 for a stand. In September 2005 he was granted £2365 for a new bathroom and a further £525 later in the year. A year late he spent £344 on more bathroom fixtures and fittings.
