Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle pulls out of Liverpool show

EXHAUSTED Susan Boyle pulled out of the Britain’s Got Talent live show in Liverpool just hours before she was set to appear on stage.

The 48-year-old Scottish singer had been due to sing her signature tune, I Dreamed A Dream, from the Broadway show Les Miserables, at the ECHO arena last night.

But concert goers were greeted at the waterfront venue with notices announcing she would not be performing.

Susan, who shot to unlikely worldwide fame on the ITV talent programme, told tour bosses she needed to rest.

She was spotted checking into the Radisson SAS Hotel in Old Hall Street with the other finalists yesterday afternoon.

But a source said she was taken back to London last night after becoming distressed.

She said: "Lots of people had seen and heard her in the hotel, she was shouting quite a bit in her room and acting odd.

"It was clear something was not right. She was apparently shouting for her cat and did not look happy."

The troubled singer was previously admitted to North London’s Priory clinic after coming second to dance troupe Diversity in the TV contest but left five days later.

Doubts had persisted over Susan’s fitness to perform on tour after she found it difficult to cope with media pressure.

She received standing ovations at the tour’s previous shows in Birmingham and Sheffield but pulled out of two performances at the MEN arena in Manchester on Sunday.
