A LIVERPOOL man has been charged in connection with an attempted robbery outside a supermarket.
Michael Johnston, of Woodsome Park, Woolton, appeared before magistrates yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on September 7.
On June 9, two security guards were making a cash delivery to the ATM machine outside the Booths store on Liverpool Road, Preston, when they were attacked by two men.
One guard was stabbed.
