Merseyside Police campaign to cut drinks crime

POLICE arrested 304 people in a weekend crackdown on alcohol-related crime.

Merseyside Police took to the streets on Friday night and carried out 21 search warrants, seized 447 quantities of alcohol and returned 22 unsupervised children to their homes.

Seven people were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

In south Liverpool, two stolen quad bikes and an amount of cash were recovered.

In north Liverpool, a man was arrested on suspicion of committing a racially aggravated robbery and in Knowsley a man was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery.
