Boost for Liverpool charity

A CHARITY that helps the families of sick children has been given a £7,000 boost.

Ronald McDonald House, at Alder Hey children’s hospital, has received the cash from health cash plan provider HSA, soon to be Simplyhealth.

The charity houses 70 family bedrooms which enable family members to stay close to their critically ill child.

The donation will go towards the House’s latest project to build 16 family flatlets to accommodate long-stay families, whose child will be in hospital for more than six months.
