DETECTIVES in West Lancashire have released an image of a man they would like to talk to in connection with an assault.
At approximately 2.30am on Saturday, May 23, a woman was approached by a man as she walked home alone on Mill Lane, Burscough.
He began speaking with her and as she arrived home he asked if he could come in.
The same man returned to her house some time later and assaulted her. He is described as white, aged in his 30s, about 5’9” in height, and with a mousey brown well- groomed goatee-style beard. He was smart in appearance, wearing dark-coloured clothing.
Detective Constable Keith Duckworth said: “It is a priority for us to identify this man. We urge anyone who may know anyone who fits the description to come forward.”
