A MASKED robber escaped with a cash box after confronting a security guard outside a bank in Garston yesterday.
The guard was about to enter the Lloyds TSB bank in Speke Road when he was confronted by the man, armed with a crowbar.
The offender took the guard's cash box and left the scene in a black Vauxhall Astra.
The guard was not injured during the incident, which happened at around 1.35pm.
The offender is described as of medium height and build, and wearing a balaclava.
