A VIRGIN Atlantic jet took to the skies yesterday with the Red Arrows for a fly-past to mark the airline’s 25th anniversary.

The Royal Air Force aerobatic team flew alongside the Boeing 747-400, named Birthday Girl, in a special V-formation, watched by spectators at the Biggin Hill International Air Fair, Kent.

Led by Wing Commander Jas Hawker, the spectacle drew cheers from the crowd as the nine Hawk aircraft roared overhead, leaving a colourful jet-stream in their wake.
