Flooding risk in Merseyside is set to quadruple if urgent action is not taken to tackle climate change

He said sandy beach areas like Formby would be eroded quicker due to large waves crashing down on them: “If the sea level rises, then the waves can get closer and do more damage.

A WOMAN was rescued from her car after it was submerged by flood waters yesterday.

The floods were caused by torrential rain which inundated the drains.
