FOUR teenagers suspected of setting a man on fire as he sunbathed were arrested by police.
The 15-year-olds – all from Walton – were accused of setting the man’s shirt on fire with cigarette lighters.
Police described the attack as “callous”.
The 37-year-old was lying in the sun on Thursday when he suddenly felt burning pain on his back. He was hospitalised and may need surgery on his scars.
The attack happened on the embankment at the junction of Commercial Road and Stanley Street, shortly before 8pm on Thursday.
The gang of suspects was released on police bail on Friday evening.
