A DRINKER was slashed in the face with a craft knife after bumping in to a man at a city centre bar.
The victim, a Wirral man, 31, was sliced with the razor- sharp retractable blade just before 2am on Sunday morning at the Kingdom bar on Harrington Street, a cocktail lounge and club.
Police were called to the bar and the injured man taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Police appealed for witnesses in a statement, saying: “It is believed that the victim was attacked after he had accidentally bumped in to the offender at the pub.
“The offender is described as a white male, approximately 5ft 8ins tall and slightly overweight. It is thought that he was wearing a dark jacket over a white shirt.”
Crime Scene Investigators have carried out forensic examinations and detectives are examining CCTV footage.
