MARTINE SNOWDON, a criminal barrister at Exchange Chambers, is celebrating after winning the inaugural Liverpool Triathlon.
She completed the course and won the Olympic Group race in 2 hours, 22 minutes and 3 seconds, beating a number of professional athletes in the elite category along the way.
The race included a 1.5km swim in Albert Dock, 40km bike ride from Wapping Dock to Howard Street and a 10km run through Salthouse Dock, Wapping, The Strand and around the Liver Building, before returning along the waterside and finishing next to the Echo Arena Liverpool.
Martine, a mother of three, said: “I am absolutely thrilled to win and it was a brilliant triathlon to take part in.
“I've caught the triathlon bug and it would be great if I could make it to Hungary next year.”
