In addition, there are many pregnant mums among Knowsley’s nilgai antelope and fallow deer herds which are just coming into their main breeding season.
As a result, park chiefs estimate that between 20 and 30 more youngsters could be on the way over the coming weeks.
Mr Ross said: “We’re very pleased with this year’s baby boom, which has seen youngsters being born pretty much on a daily basis over the last couple of months.
“This success follows on from last year’s breeding highlights, which included the birth of three white rhino calves and more than a dozen lion cubs, which has made the current pride our biggest ever.”
