Wally Shepard, chairman of Merseycats, added: “Over the last 20 years we, have raised over £300,000 for charities including Alder Hey, Claire House, KIND, Variety Club and many more.
“The partnership with Hard Day’s Night hotel will allow us to increase fundraising for worthwhile causes, while also keeping the spirit of Mersey Beat well and truly alive. We cannot wait for all our 20th anniversary celebrations”
As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, Merseycats is holding a 10-hour show at the hotel during the Mathew Street festival in August, and another show at Liverpool’s Olympia ballroom on October 9.
