INCREASING numbers of people are stashing their savings underneath beds because they do not trust bankers, research shows.
Home insurance firm More Than said two-thirds of adults no longer have faith in the British banking system.
A survey of 2,000 adults showed one in 10 admitted to hiding money underneath mattresses since the banking crisis began.
People in Belfast, Newcastle upon Tyne and Bristol were most likely to keep their cash at home, rather than in a bank.
