THE Daily Post reigned supreme at an awards ceremony recognising contributions to the newspaper industry.
The O2 awards, held in Preston Brook, near Warrington, are in their second year and celebrate the talents of journalists from across Merseyside and Cheshire.
Arts Editor Laura Davis picked up two awards – Digital Journalist of the Year and Entertainment Writer of the Year which she shared with Jade Wright. Both were described as superb and talented writers.
City Editor David Bartlett took home Business Reporter of the year, Luke Traynor won Reporter of the Year, Ben Schofield won Young Journalist of the Year, Paddy Shennan won Feature Writer of the Year for the second year running and Gareth Jones Photographer of the year.
Runners up included Samantha Parker, Richard Down, Liza Williams, Jason Roberts, Emma Pinch, Alex Turner and Alistair Houghton.
