Passenger thrown from speeding Liverpool car

A WOMAN drove so dangerously her passenger was thrown from the car, a court heard.

Gemma Wade was forced to do an emergency stop when her speeding almost caused her to go into the back of another car.

Liverpool Crown Court heard Wade, 24, lost control of her car, which left the road, spun round 360 degrees and smashed into a wall in Plymyard Avenue, Bromborough.

The force of the impact caused back-seat passenger Jade Trice to be flung from the vehicle.

Geoffrey Fryar, prosecuting, told the court she miraculously landed on her feet, but still required hospital treatment.

Judge David sentenced Wade, of Chatsworth Road, Rock Ferry, to an 18-month community order with a two-month curfew and 12 months supervision.

Paul Wood, defending, said Wade, who admitted dangerous driving, still suffered health problems and flashbacks and had no intention of driving again.
