ONE half of Cockney singing act Chas And Dave has pulled out of a gig after the death of his wife, it was revealed last night.
Dave Peacock will not perform at this weekend’s event in Ludlow, Shropshire, after his 62-year-old wife, Sue, lost her fight against cancer.
In a statement issued on the duo’s website, Chas Hodges paid tribute to Sue as a remarkable person who was loved by all.
The statement read: “It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of Sue Peacock – Dave’s wife of 36 years – on July 4, after a brave battle with lung cancer.
“Despite being a lifelong non-smoker, she was diagnosed with the disease at an advanced stage.
