OFSTED is nothing more than a government “poodle”, MPs said yesterday.
The schools inspectorate’s relationship with the Government is too “cosy”, members of the Commons schools select committee said, and it is a cause for concern.
Members questioned why the inspectorate was working with the Government on policies such as the new school report card.
