UNITED Utilities has apologised for flooding which devastated 50 homes this week.
The company has promised money will be paid to Huyton residents quickly and help will be offered to clean up wrecked homes.
The area was hit by its third mains burst in 18 months and many residents complained of waiting months for compensation after the last flood.
But despite the concerns, United Utilities has failed to give any timescales for when money will be paid out.
Gary Dixon, customer services director, said: “I am absolutely devastated this has happened for a third time and give my personal assurance to those residents affected we will do everything humanly possible to get their homes back to normal quickly.
“I have seen first hand what a mess this damaged pipe has caused and I cannot apologise enough.”
