Strictly stars Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace perform at St George’s Hall for Liverpool’s first Summer Ball
She said: “I joked it was Strauss goes Strictly Scouse!
“It was a wonderful night and it was great to see everyone really dressed up.
“Vincent and Flavia really were spectacular and I didn’t know if it would put people off!
“But everyone got up to dance and at times we had 200 people on the dancefloor.”
The Summer Ball follows a spring-themed ball at St George’s Hall in March. The event was organised after the near sell-out success of two Viennese Balls during Capital of Culture year.
Organisers hope to make the dance extravaganzas part of the city’s annual programme.
