Extra heart teenager on mend

A 16-YEAR-OLD girl who was given an extra heart at the age of two has made a full recovery.

Hannah Clark, from Mountain Ash, near Cardiff, had a donor heart grafted on to her own after suffering heart failure as a baby.

Three years ago surgeons removed the transplanted organ, leaving her own heart to fend for itself. The medical team at Harefield Hospital, in London, said the procedure had been a complete success.
