More injured at bull running

THREE people were injured in the second-to-last running of the bulls in Pamplona, but no-one was gored.

Medical services spokesman Dr Fernando Boneta said three runners were taken to hospital yesterday with bumps or bruises following the seventh run at Spain’s San Fermin festival.

The sprint was clean and fast, unlike Sunday’s, in which a bull became separated from the pack and subjected one runner to a horrific, multiple goring as it attacked him repeatedly. The man remained in intensive care yesterday.

A total of four people were gored and six others were treated for lesser injuries.

A 27-year-old Spaniard was gored to death on Friday, in the first such fatality since 1995.
