New website will allow Merseyside residents to find out more about anti-social behaviour in their area

MERSEYSIDE residents can now find out what is being done to tackle anti-social behaviour in their area.

The Government has launched a new website which will enable residents to check the authorities are doing all they can to deal with the issue so they can hold them to account if not enough is being done.

People affected by the problem can also use the site to find the person or team who can help them and discover what views people have of anti-social behaviour in their area.

Visitors can also see which of the powers available to the authorities are being used to tackle anti-social behaviour and compare their area with others, meaning they can demand further action if necessary.

The website also includes the latest information on the number of ASBOs (anti-social behaviour orders) handed out.

In addition, Action Squads are being sent into parts of Merseyside to offer extra support to local partnerships, which are made up of council, police and community representatives.
