TEN people were last night being questioned about the fatal stabbing of a teenage Army Cadet in Liverpool.
Police executed a series of arrest warrants in the early hours of yesterday morning as part of the murder hunt for 16-year-old Joseph Lappin’s killers.
Those apprehended were aged between 16 and 23, and all come from the Vauxhall area.
Raids were carried out in north Liverpool, and six people were initially arrested with another four held later in the day.
The majority were arrested by 7am while another man, who had already left for work, returned home after receiving a call from police.
The seven men and three youths remain in police custody at five different Merseyside stations and are being questioned on suspicion of Joseph’s murder and the attempted murder of his friend Callum Naden, aged 17.
Joseph, from Old Swan, was stabbed through the heart outside Shrewsbury House Youth Club, in Langrove Street, Everton, on October 20 last year.
Callum was also knifed but survived the attack.
