CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service is to visit the highest tower blocks in their area to check fire safety procedures and advise tenants.
The move comes following the tower block tragedy in Camberwell, which claimed six lives.
The blocks of flats included in the programme include two in Warrington, one in Halton, nine in Chester, and three in Ellesmere Port. Area manager Keith Brooks said: “While we have already inspected most of these blocks within the last 18 months, it is important to provide reassurance.”
