THE family of a woman who was killed when her husband accidentally ran over her in the driveway of their home spoke last night of their “catastrophic” loss.
Doreen Dickinson, 84, died in hospital on Tuesday after she was struck by the black Mercedes automatic saloon as her husband, Colin, 85, reversed the car.
The couple, who met more than 50 years ago while working together at Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital, were preparing to go out for the afternoon when the accident happened at their home on Halifax Road in the city.
South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
