A CITY centre waterworks scheme will move to Clarence Street from tomorrow.
It is part of a United Utilities £35m project to replace Victorian water pipes with modern plastic versions.
The road will be closed for a week to enable the work to continue.
Project engineer John Maher said: “Vehicle access will be available via the junction with Mount Pleasant, but there will be no access from Brownlow Hill.
“Access will be maintained for pedestrians.”
