Crown Princess returns to Liverpool Cruise Liner Terminal

MEGA-LINER the Crown Princess set sail from Liverpool yesterday after a brief visit to the port.

One of the biggest-ever visitors to Merseyside made a return trip to the city which can now handle her awesome size, thanks to the new cruise liner terminal.

She docked in the city at 5am yesterday as part of a 12-day cruise around the British Isles.

She is now heading to Belfast and will travel on to Greenock for the next step in her voyage.

The liner is capable of carrying 2,080 passengers and has 1,557 cabins.

In a recent trip, she docked at Invergordon, in Scotland, and doubled the population of the town.

At 950ft long and 195ft out of the water, the 113,00-tonne vessel is owned by Princess Cruises and made her first trip to Liverpool’s new liner terminal earlier in the year.

She left Liverpool at 7pm last night, but is set to return as the popularity has grown during the credit crunch.
