£500k for Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine malaria research

LIVERPOOL School of Tropical Medicine has been awarded £500,000k to find a cure for malaria.
The European Commission is funding the two-year project to co-ordinate European and international research to develop new drugs.
Deputy director, Professor Steve Ward, said: “Co-ordinating research will mean that resources are better directed towards faster development of new drugs to treat and eliminate malaria.”
