Bootle gun victim ‘remembered nothing’

A MERSEYSIDE man went to hospital with a gunshot wound in his leg – but told police he did not know how or where it happened.

The 21-year-old, from Bootle, arrived at the Royal Liverpool Hospital at around 6.45am yesterday.

When detectives arrived to speak to him, he was unclear about how he received his injuries or where the incident occurred, and was not co-operating with police.

Detectives are trying to find out the motive for the shooting and have appealed to anyone who may have any information to contact them.

Merseyside Police yesterday arrested two men and a woman on suspicion of perverting the course of justice following the shooting.
